Spoiler alert: C’mon, you know there are going to be major Game of Thrones spoilers here, so if you haven’t watched the season finale, come back when you have!

The Game of Thrones Season 6 finale blew us all away (no pun intended!), all thanks to Cersei Lannister. The Queen Mother solved her little High Sparrow and Margaery problem with all the wildfire tucked away under the Sept of Baelor (which is where everyone was congregated for Cersei and Loras’ trials).

After orchestrating the collapse of like, half of King’s Landing, Cersei crowns herself as Queen of Westeros. And in that very moment when she’s sitting there in her fierce AF black leather gown and exterior shoulder pads made of steel, you can’t even hate her for doing it.

And before she sits comfortably on the Iron Throne, she makes it very clear that she’s going to give Septa Unella (aka, Shame Lady) HELL. Which, like, we understand.

But according to Lena Headey (who plays Cersei), Cersei’s vengeance was going to be WORSE. Not the blowing up of the Sept part (how much worse can you get?), but the Shame Lady part. Headey tells Entertainment Weekly, “The scene was meant to be worse, but they couldn’t do it. This is like the tame version. It’s pretty bad still though. I’d take being exploded in the Sept over that any day.” Considering Cersei left the woman with Zombie Mountain (aka, Ser Gregor Clegane), we kinda doubt she’ll be left in one piece by the time Season 7 rolls around. We really couldn’t think of a worse fate.

Leadey opens up about other parts of the shocking finale, like how callous she behaves once she’s learned her last remaining child killed himself because of her actions. “…there’s that moment where she goes to see dead Tommen and she thinks, ‘Ah. Well. I’ll [take the crown]. It’s so wrong,” Headey says.

As cold and badass as Cersei is, Headey doesn’t have much confidence in her character. In fact, she doesn’t think the Lannister will last long as Queen. When asked by EW whether Cersei will reign for long, Headey answers, “No. Surely not! Not a chance in hell. It’s a moment of punctuation in the madness.”

As for who’s going to take Cersei down? Headey predicts it’ll either be Arya or Tyrion. Although many are beginning to suspect Jaime, her lover/twin brother, will be the one who kills her. After all, she DID just do exactly what Jaime was preventing when he slayed the Mad King. And she’s the reason why Tommen committed suicide.

We’ll just have to wait ten whole months (UGHHHHHH) to find out.
