Kendall Jenner Denies Making Comments to US Weekly About Her Dad's Transition
Kendall Jenner is at the top of her career, making a name for herself outside of the Kardashian name. From New York to Paris, she’s walked runways for some of the biggest fashion brands in the business and is the face of major campaigns including Revlon, Karl Lagerfeld, and more. But just because she’s famous and successful within her own right, doesn’t mean her family’s drama isn’t a major talking point. Attending Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central roast, the 19-year-old was asked about her father, Bruce Jenner, and while she typically shies away from personal questions, she actually opened up. Maybe.
"I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters," the 19-year-old model told Us Weekly. “He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”
While the family usually shares everything—sometimes a little too much (looking at you Kim Kardashian in Paper and Love magazines)—they’ve been mum surrounding the athlete as of late. Bruce has also yet to speak publicly about his reported transition, but a docu-series with Diane Sawyer might (it’s possible production was recently put on hold) reveal more. And while Kardashian sources say the kids and Kris Jenner all support Bruce, Kendall is the first to say so in the press.
But shortly after the quote was published online, Kendall sent out the following tweet:
how is it legal for someone to “quote” someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted.
Whether or not she said it or not, the basic sentiment — that she loves her parent regardless of gender — is meaningful.
