Kate Middleton Wears a Dalmatian Coat (Again)

Kate Middleton is coming to the end of her second pregnancy. Royal baby madness part deux will commence in a matter of weeks with paparazzi and reporters worldwide readying to camp outside of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. And there’s no better indication than the Duchess of Cambridge’s clothes that another royal heir is on the horizon.

This week, the 33-year-old was spotted recycling a blush pink Alexander McQueen coat with Peter Pan collar and oversized pearl buttons, a piece she had previously worn shortly before giving birth to Prince George. On Wednesday, she visited a museum and a contemporary art organization in the seaside town of Kent in the United Kingdom wearing a black and white jacket that’s been hanging in her closet since 2013 when she was spotted (pun totally intended) wearing it first.

When she wore the item a few years back, it was paired with a black fascinator. Following the naming of the Royal Princess cruise ship, which was appropriately christened with the breaking of a bottle of champagne by the royal princess herself, the printed Hobbs coat, which retailed for $254, sold out in minutes.

Unless the Dalmatian coat can be found on eBay or a consignment store, Middleton’s most recent wearing won’t trigger the same frenzy. The 2015 version was for a more casual outing and accessorized appropriately with just her go-to black Stuart Weitzman heels and clutch fromt the same company. With her amazing hair pulled back in a simple wrap around ponytail she looked fresh and casual.

On Thursday, the Duchess visits the set of Downton Abbey in Ealing Studios (Prince William has revealed they’re big fans of the show), so when two British fashion powerhouses collide there’s bound to be a big sartorial moment.
