Kate Hudson’s Jumpsuit Has an Angelina Jolie Slit. Wait, What?

Obviously, Kate Hudson plays by her own fashion rules. This was very clear when she showed up to the Golden Globes wearing an ab-baring ensemble that was most likely stolen off of Kendall Jenner’s rack. For Kung Fu Panda 3′s Shanghai premiere, she continued her streak of selecting unexpected ensembles.
The actress, who voices Mei Mei in the animated film alongside Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, and more, walked the red carpet in China in a light blue jumpsuit. The strapless piece featuring a structured bodice is beautiful — and very standard — from the top, but takes a turn towards the interesting and avant garde below the waist.
At first glance, especially in motion, the bottom looks like a skirt. But take a closer look and you’ll see that it’s actually pants, with one leg a wide trouser and the other taking inspiration from her co-star with a thigh-high slit, creating a mini skirt effect.
