Justin Bieber Teams With Forever 21 and Bravado for Purpose Limited-Edition Apparel

Justin Bieber may have axed his Instagram, but he will soon give fans a signature capsule collection.

Through a collaboration with music merchandise label Bravado, the pop star has created an exclusive eight-piece collection of his Purpose World Tour.

The Forever 21 x Justin Bieber Purpose Tour Collection will debut at forever21.com and in stores one week later on Aug. 29. There are oversize sleeveless T-shirts and short-sleeve T-shirts carrying images of a bleached blonde Bieber. Fans will also find a long-sleeve T-shirt imprinted with “Justin Forever.” Unlike Purpose concert tickets, the commemorative apparel will be considerably more affordable for Beliebers with retail prices ranging between $17.90 and $34.90 for an assortment that includes hoodies and sweatpants.

Bieber’s latest album “Purpose” debuted at number one in more than 100 countries, and has sold more than eight million copies. It has also broken streaming records with three consecutive number-one singles in the U.S. — “What Do You Mean,” “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Bieber recently winded down the North American portion of his Purpose World Tour with two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden. After this weekend’s U.K. stops, it will be on to Japan and then a swing through Europe in early September.

Bieber, who has performed in such designer labels as Saint Laurent, was not available to comment Tuesday, according to a Forever 21 spokeswoman. In recent days, some Bieber fans blasted the musician for his new-found fondness for 17-year-old Sofia Richie. By Tuesday, the 22-year-old Calvin Klein model indicated that he had had enough, posting a photo of the pair with “I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate. This is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people who I like.”

He later made good on that threat and upped the punishment by apparently deleting his Instagram account altogether. (Who knows if the fact his ex, Selena Gomez, offered unsolicited two cents was the tipping point.)

Regardless, Bieber has a new business partnership. Linda Chang, Forever 21 vice president of merchandising, said, “We are pleased to partner with Justin Bieber and Bravado to celebrate one of the most influential musicians of this generation. This collection will give our customers and Justin Bieber fans access to one of the most in-demand merchandise lines in the world.”

Prior to this announcement, several web sites speculated about the similarities between Bieber’s Purpose apparel and Vetements. But Demna Gvasalia may also be a Bieber fan, having designed his own T-shirt emblazoned with “justin4eva.”
