Justin Bieber’s Underwear Ads Are What Sexy Dreams Are Made Of

It’s official: Justin Bieber is the Marky Mark of the Instagram generation. The Purpose artist can lay claim to the title after the release on Tuesday night of the Canadian heartthrob’s most recent images for Calvin Klein. “Back in bed with @justinbieber. Introducing the Spring 2016 Calvin Klein global advertising campaign,” the company shared on Instagram.

Bieber, sporting platinum blonde hair gelled in an updo, is pictured by Tyrone Lebon laying on a bed with white sheets in just his briefs. He appears to be sleeping (keeping up appearances — look at those abs! — while being an international sensation can certainly be tiring) comfortably in a position that anyone who’s ever met a man of any age knows all too well.

“I flaunt in #mycalvins,” the 21-year-old wrote on Twitter alongside another shot from the campaign, which sees the leader of Belieber nation in a Michelangelo pose. Bieber was tapped last January as an ambassador for the brand and appeared alongside Lara Stone in undeniably hot yet somewhat controversial ads (many accused Bieber of being digitally altered to seem more ripped). The partnership so far has been a success beyond Calvin Klein’s wildest dreams: he brought the brand millions of followers across all social media channels (while the Funky Bunch singer was taped to bedroom walls, the “Love Yourself” singer has become a force even more powerful than Whalberg ever was thanks to Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and more), has mentioned his underwear on high-profile television appearances, and generated a turnaround for the brand when those media mentions resulted in actual sales.

Learning from their past success, Calvin Klein added even more influencers to their roster this time around. Kendall Jenner, who’s appeared in ads in the past, makes another cameo as does fellow model Abbey Lee Kershaw and Sung Jin Park. Some of Bieber’s musical peers were tapped as well, including Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, and FKA Twigs.

So by following the rules of logic, if Bieber’s Marky Mark, then Kendall Jenner, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Sung Jin Park, Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, and FKA Twigs would be his funky bunch. But that can’t be right — they’re so much more than that.
