Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum Celebrated Their 8th Wedding Anniversary at a Wilderness Camp
Nothing says “romance” like the wild. Adorable Hollywood couple Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum recently celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary, and the actress revealed to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that they marked the occasion with quite the outdoor adventure.
The World of Dance star stopped by Live on Friday, July 21, and recalled the experience to the co-hosts. “So Chan is like… I call him ‘Bear Grylls,’” Dewan Tatum said. “He really loves being outdoors in nature, so we went on a wilderness camp with our daughter in the middle of nowhere Michigan.”
Dewan Tatum was unable to disclose the precise spot because it’s part of the rules. “I can’t even tell you where it was… If you tell anyone you can never come back,” she said. The spot had no wifi, no exact address, and minimal service in the form of a lone internet cabin.

The couple eventually ended up craving access to the outside world. “One day, I was like, ‘I’m gonna take a walk,’” Dewan Tatum continued. “Chan’s like, ‘I’m gonna take a walk too.’” Both spouses somehow emerged at the internet cabin.
Still, the stars appreciated the nature-filled experience, documenting key moments on social media. Dewan Tatum posted images of herself in front of a lake, with her little daughter Everly on the shore of a lake, and other scenic memories from the anniversary adventure.

The stars married in 2009 after first meeting on the set of beloved dance movie Step Up. “I was so young, I was 25 when we did the screen test,” she shared with Ripa and Seacrest. “He’s the nicest man in the world, and we actually had a really awkward screen test. I did the wrong scenes and I did the worst read… We became really good friends and here we are 12 years later.”
