One of the loveliest, most relaxing things about adulthood is being able to walk into a spa to treat yourself to a little R&R after a long week. Now, however, that grownup luxury is blending with an equally wonderful childhood luxury - amusement park rides.

Mayor Yasuhiro Nagano of Beppu, Japan, which is famous for its hot springs, just announced plans to build an amusement park dedicated to spas. It all started with a viral video that showcased the potential "spamusement" park, complete towel-clad park-goers relaxing in steam room trolley rides, merry-go-rounds with tubs and bubble bath roller coasters (hang on to your towel, folks), reports Time.

The mayor promised that he'd make the idea a reality if the video hit 1 million views, an admittedly humble benchmark into today's viral world. Now, about a week later, the video has more than 2 million views.

No word yet on what amenities, exactly, will be included in the park, but we can only hope that the video provides an almost-definite blueprint - minus the splashing around of hot water (eating ice cream under a spa roller coaster is not advised). Many questions remain: For example, are we allowed to wear more than a towel? How are you supposed to do "no hands" on the roller coaster with a towel? Also, germs.

It's not the first time Japan has bravely tried a wild new concept for an attraction. The country is home to a Robot Restaurant (think servers in bikinis battling with giant robots) and the Meguro Parasite Museum (where you'll find more than 45,000 specimens including the longest tape worm recorded). Just last week, controversy erupted on social media when Japan's Space World froze 5,000 fish in an ice skating rink.

We have to admit, though, this spamusement concept sounds pretty glorious. Check out the viral video above for a dose of a spa day wherever you are, right now.
