Is Diane Kruger’s Latest Makeover Because of Her Breakup?

It’s a common impulse to change up your look after a breakup, whether it’s with a new dye job, a drastic haircut, or bolder makeup. And Kruger’s been doing it all after her split from her boyfriend of 10 years, Joshua Jackson. So could the new look have something to do with the new, single Kruger?
Kruger, who first teased a photo of her major chop in October, has only gotten more experimental with her looks over the past few months. She’s let the roots grow in on her signature blonde hair, replacing her mid-length beachy look with an edgier sideswept pixie-lob. One Instagram commenter even compared Kruger’s look to Kristen Stewart, the queen of fashionable celebrity angst.
To accompany her edgy new ‘do, her fashion’s been more daring too. At a gala dinner during Couture Fashion Week, Kruger wouldn’t have been out of place with the Kardashian-Jenner crew in head-to-toe faux fur and sheer from Dior. (Can’t you picture Kylie Jenner in that outfit?)
Even trendier, she’s added a variety of chokers to her repertoire, like the spiky one she wore to the Dior show. Kruger herself named the look “Teen Spirit-ish” on Instagram.

But just because she’s single doesn’t mean Kruger isn’t feeling herself. “It’s all good,” she told reporters in August when asked about the breakup. Judging by her bikini dance – shielded from UV rays in a hat, sunglasses and cover-up of course — she still feels that way. Don’t you agree, Joshua?
