I Basically Hugged Beyoncé at The Blonds Last Night

I saved the craziest runway for last. The Blonds show on Wednesday night was one for the books. There were bustiers, disco-ready heels made of lucite, and plenty of over the top headpieces. Rod Stewart sat in front of me, I got a special shout out from Paris Hilton, and saw transgender icon, Amanda Lepore, in all of her larger-than-life glory. I may have been out of my element, but I loved it. And then, as if it couldn’t get better, I spotted Ty HunterBeyonce’s stylist and budding designer—amidst the zany crowd.  I made a beeline (no pun intended), because it’s New York Fashion Week, and he dresses the Queen, which made me wonder, what from 2015 will make its way onto Bey?

“I went to Tracy Reese and saw a couple of things for her there,” says Hunter, who’s worked with the singer for 17 years. He wasn’t, however, scoping out looks for Blue Ivy. “Her mom is her stylist,” he confirmed. As for whether he’ll be attending other shows, Hunter’s being strategic. “I haven’t really been to any shows!” the designer said, smiling. “The Blonds and Jeremy Scott are like fun parties. And so I thought if I’m going to go out in the cold…”

I’m no math whiz, but since our interview ended with a hug, by virtue of the transitive property, I embraced Beyoncé. The end.

Here’s a list of looks you can expect to see Queen B in.
