HGTV's Property Brothers on Their Racy Bathtub Photoshoot: 'I've Had Far More Offers to Be Joined in the Tub Recently'

Drew and Jonathan Scott Speak Out About Naked Photos

Property Brothers stars and all-around HGTV heartthrobs Jonathan and Drew Scott recently stripped down for a new book benefitting breast cancer research. Fans of the realtor-contractor duo were understandably titillated by the racy photos, which show the brothers topless (Drew) and in a soaked dress shirt and tie (Jonathan), lounging in a bathtub.

On the set, however, the Scotts, 39, insist things were totally professional. Photographer “TJ [Scott (no relation)] is incredibly talented,” Jonathan tells PEOPLE, “[His] first book, In the Tub, was amazing, so we were comfortable right from the get go.”

And the guys were well prepared to lose their clothes in front of the lens. “I may have done a few push ups right before,” says Drew, who admits to being a little obsessed with working on his fitness.

“Drew loves the opportunity to ‘accidentally’ lose his shirt and flex,” Jonathan confirms. For his part, the handyman reserves his clothing-free time for when he loses a bet: “I’m a pretty private person, and not one to just walk around naked, except that time I was in Thunder From Down Under for Brother vs. Brother.”

Both Scott brothers are spoken for — Drew is engaged to Linda Phan, 31, and Jonathan is in a relationship with Jacinta Kuznetsov, 28 — and their ladies were big fans of the brothers’ seductive photos. “Linda loved it and wanted her own shoot done in the tub,” Drew says.

Jonathan got an even more positive reaction: “Jacinta wanted me immediately to get back into a tub naked again.” He adds that since sharing his photo on Instagram, he’s “had far more offers to be joined in the tub recently than ever before.” Adding, “Unfortunately for all those asking, my tub is happily full.”

For all their positive feedback, the brothers want to ensure the real attention is paid to the cause the book benefits. “We’ve supported many breast cancer charities over the years and I think everybody knows somebody who has been affected by it,” says Drew. “Sometimes it can be a difficult subject to talk about. I think by creating beautiful art like this, it’s starts a conversation.”

Photographer TJ Scott is currently raising money to produce the book, In the Tub Volume 2, on crowdfunding site Indie GoGo (and yes, you can donate). All the proceeds from sales of the book will go to the charity F*ck Cancer.
