Here's How Beyoncé (Maybe) Confirmed Her Stylish BET Awards Performance

It’s never clear whether or not Beyoncé is going to attend an awards show until she … well, attends the awards show. Hours before the BET Awards red carpet got underway, reports surfaced that Queen Bey would be opening the show with Kendrick Lamar. And for those to whom seeing is believing, Bey opened the red carpet by sending down a phalanx of dancers walking in perfect formation.

Though they didn’t say a word, the announcement was clear to all: Beyonce would be in the building. Beyonce’s stylist Marni Senofonte, who has been the artist’s lead fashion collaborator since her Beyonce project began snapping obsessively backstage. Of the snaps we did catch a bit of Gucci (quite a bit of it) as well as a little Neil Barrett. Many of the looks were featured in the Lemonade visual album though they were re-styled on the dancers.

As for the performance itself, Bey is expected to perform alongside Kendrick Lamar. If that news is true, it is likely that the pair will perform “Freedom” which is also a track from Lemonade.
