Helen Mirren proved that being blue isn’t always a bad thing. On Monday night, the actress attended the premiere of her new film, Collateral Beauty, in New York City covered in the color from head to toe — and it worked.

The 71-year-old wore a pale blue, three-quarter-sleeve Marchesa dress stitched all over with a pattern of birds and flowers. She contrasted the softness of the dress with a coat covered in blue and silver appliqué. The coat had bright blue faux-fur sleeves, and Mirren accessorized the piece with a big heart pin with the word fur crossed out, to make sure everyone knew she is against wearing real fur. The actress tied the whole ensemble together with baby blue pumps and carried a shiny aqua box clutch. She drove the look home with silvery blue eye shadow.

That is a lot of blue — and while not everyone can pull off one color head-to-toe, this dame can do no wrong. She shimmered on the red carpet, showing the world how diverse one color can actually be.

Mirren is known to push the boundaries of fashion. She once went to the opera in a Dolce & Gabbana fit-and-flare midi-dress made of double silk organza and covered in a print of children’s drawings of houses, fish, and rainbows. She attended the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in a long purple gown that matched a temporary tattoo of Prince’s famous unpronounceable symbol right below her collarbone.

What will she think of next?!
