Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop finally launched its first collection of apparel today. Produced in Italy and created by a team of designers which Paltrow oversees, Goop Label takes the form of capsules released each month which will be available to shop online as soon as they're revealed.

The first installment of the series, called the September Edition, is a four-piece capsule of wardrobe staples-a tweed tie-up jacket and matching culottes, a chambray button-down and a white tote. When all styled together, it's a chic back-to-work look, which isn't far off from Paltrow's vision.

"September, to me, connotes getting back to work, getting back to your life and buckling down," she said in a statement.

The clothing launch comes two years after Goop first announced it would enter the apparel business back in 2014. It's the latest venture the lifestyle blog-turned-brand has branched into, after organic makeup, a pop-up shop and skincare line, among others.

In July, Paltrow caused a stir when she announced she wanted to separate from the brand because she felt she was slowing its growth. But she has since clarified her comment, saying that she simply "wanted to create product that is incredibly high quality and delivered at a great value" that could stand on its own-eventually, away from her name.

"I think there's a huge white space in the market for luxurious ready-to-wear at a direct-to-consumer price," Paltrow said. "It was very important to me to make the clothes in the same way that all of my favorite designer clothing is made, which is in Italy, with beautifully loomed fabrics, incredible tailoring, and incredible attention to detail, but to be able to deliver those pieces at a third of the price."
