The rapper slipped onÂ black and white checkered Vans sneakers to the POTUS-hosted black-tie event honoringÂ Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Mrs. Agnese Landini of Italy on Tuesday.

Along with his effortlessly cool sneakers, heÂ opted for a white dress shirt with black suit and trousers. As for his date, the singer/songwriter brought his mother Katonya Breaux, who looked radiant in a strapless magenta gown.
