Evangeline Lilly Reveals She’s Pregnant in the Most Stylish Way

On Monday night, Evangeline Lilly surprised watchers of Conan O’Brien and people on the Ant Man red carpet — she’s pregnant!

The actress, who lives in Hawaii far away from the prying eyes of paparazzi and industry events, was last pictured in December when she wasn’t showing she’s expecting at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies premiere. The second child for Lilly and her longtime partner, Norman Kali, a production assistant who she met on the set of her hit show Lost, it seems the star’s got pregnancy dressing down pat. At the premiere of her new movie, in which she plays the Red Queen opposite Paul Rudd’s Ant Man, the 35-year-old wore a Halston Heritage monochromatic gown.

The choice is one that any woman with child should think of emulating when they’re in the tricky position of caring for a fetus, yet having to attend a fancy event. The jersey material hugs her body in all the right places, and the high slit shows off her legs, which usually remain untouched by the effects of pregnancy. Black and white color choice is ideal, as is the pattern — both distract in the best, most flattering way. The one-shoulder cut also shows skin in a subtle way. Lilly looks comfortable and confident. The best part of her dress? That you can buy it, too. While the exact version of Lilly’s has yet to hit the market, look out for it. Halston Heritage dresses can be purchased at every major department and are affordable as well ranging in price from $50 to $500.

On Conan, which aired while she was walking the red carpet, Lilly wore a similarly flattering gown, albeit one that was much more difficult to walk in (she tripped on the flowy hemline making her way to her seat). The tangerine color looks great against her skin, and again, seems to be super relaxed in what she’s wearing.
