Emma Roberts Channels Coco Chanel for BaubleBar's Latest Collab

Emma Roberts is a great actress. Her recent roles in “American Horror Story” and James Franco’s “Palo Alto” prove the child actress still has a long career ahead of her. But while she shines on screen, it’s her off-duty style that really sets her apart from other Hollywood ingénues. And now, the 23-year-old is taking her personal flair for fashion and translating that into a jewelry line for BaubleBar. Serving as the brand’s “Guest Bartender” — the recurring initiative taps influencers such as Coca Rocha and Harley Viera Newton as partners for exclusive bling for the website — Roberts created a 19-piece collection. The line, which launched Tuesday, costs between $18 and $150 and includes statement earrings, a two-finger ring, chunky necklaces, and more. Roberts spoke with Yahoo Style about her recent purchases, creative, and what she’s wearing this fall.

What are your favorite designers? I love Rag and Bone for jeans. Helmut Lang has amazing sweaters I’m coveting this fall! I also love Wildfox, Elizabeth and James, and Elkin.

What’s the last item of clothing you bought? Last piece of jewelry?  I just ordered these black suede pointy toe mules from Shopbop.com by Schutz. I also ordered a pair for one of my best friends for her birthday. They’re perfect for fall. I recently splurged on this little black Gucci cross body bag that I’ve had my eye on for a year! The last piece of jewelry I got was a gold ring that has a red heart in the shape of a heartbeat by MF Jewelry. I’m obsessed with all her stuff right now!

If you could pick one fashion icon dead or alive to wear your collection who would it be? Coco Chanel! I’m obsessed with everything about her.

How involved were you in the process? I had boxes and boxes of magazine cut outs from the past 5 years of fashion and jewelry inspiration in case I ever had the opportunity to do a collaboration. I started carrying a little notebook around with me too and when something would come to mind, I would write it down or do a (not so great) sketch. Then the Baublebar team made it all come to life. We ended up having just about 100 designs and had to trim it down to our favorites. The fun part was seeing the pieces in all different colors and picking favorites!

What’s your number one style tip? You can never go wrong with red lipstick and a black dress!

What’s the one thing you always have to have in your bag no matter where you are? I always have my phone and a book. I have a pink iPhone and right now I’m reading “The Way of the Small.”

What’s your favorite piece from the collection? The Pearl Orwell Bib! It’s perfect for day or night and instantly spices up a white tee with black skinnies, which is my uniform.

If there was one outfit you had to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be? A vintage slip, a perfect leather jacket, and my studded Chloé boots — the bottoms are almost coming off I’ve worn them so much.
