Dion Lee Wins Over NYFW Crowds

Dion Lee, the Australian designer who has been quietly winning over fashion editors for years, just presented a more stellar than ever collection in New York City. He showed a cleaner, more fluid collection than in seasons past. Gone were the overt neon looks and hard architectural shapes.

Instead Lee offered structured tops paired with 3/4 length skirts and ribbon dresses worthy of the red carpet. What’s the impetus behind the change? Perhaps it has something to do with his fellow Australian, Christine Centera. The chic fashion director of Australian Vogue—who doubles as Kanye and Kim’s style icon—worked her magic on this show, bringing out the sexiness we knew was there the whole time.

How long until we seem Kim in of Dion’s dresses? Go ahead and hold your breath!
