Khloé Kardashian May Have Lied About Baking Thanksgiving Pies
Let’s be real: you, or someone you know, has tried to pass off a store-bought pie as homemade at least once during your lifetime. Now, reality star Khloé Kardashian has been accused of doing the same: she’s been caught in a pie-in-the-sky scandal over the assortment of desserts she served up on Thanksgiving.
It all started when Khloe filmed a video of her baking monkey bread for the holidays for her eponymous iPhone app. Then on Instagram, she posted a photo of an impressive spread of Thanksgiving desserts, including the monkey bread, muffins, and several pies on her Instagram feed.

“I am sooooo proud of myself lol can I say that???” she bragged about her cooking in the caption. “I filmed on a tripod, in my kitchen a lot of me baking and prepping for today so I will have that up on my app soon!!! I love testing myself and seeing what I can accomplish and actually make successfully! Now let’s pray it tastes as great as they look! This monkey bread is going to be so fucking bomb.”
Fairly, many fans assumed she baked the entire spread of pies and cakes in the photo. But local L.A. bakery Sweet Lady Jane has come out to say the pies on Khloe’s table were baked by their shop, not by Khloe, and they are frustrated about the reality start taking credit.
We reached out to Sweet Lady Jane for comment, but bakery owner Jane Lockhart told the New York Daily News: “The nerve. When I saw the pies on her table I thought, ‘She has to be kidding me…I want to say, ‘Good job. You want a job here?’”
And Khloe’s not the only Kardashian family member to be a fan of Sweet Lady Jane pastries. Kendall Jenner had the treats at a recent birthday party, and Caitlyn Jenner had one of their cakes at a celebration. The bakery’s pies are so popular, they were named to Oprah Winfrey’s 2015 Favorite Things list for the holidays.
To be fair, Khloe never specifically said she baked the pies in her Instagram post, but it’s easy to see why readers thought she was claiming to have cooked everything on the table.
The reality star’s response to the fracas? “Petty mother——-,” she posted on her Twitter feed Wednesday. Way to show that holiday spirit, Khloe!
