Not to be dramatic, but go ahead and grab every single tissue box you can find, because you’re going to need them. Yesterday, we learned about the passing of beloved icon Carrie Fisher — there’s a high chance you’re still crying over it, and we are, too. Now today, 24 hours later, we’ve learned that Carrie’s mother, beloved icon Debbie Reynolds, has also passed away. This is too much for our hearts to handle, and you haven’t even learned Debbie’s last words shortly before she suffered what is suspected to be a stroke.

Do you have the tissues ready?

TMZ spoke with Todd Fisher, Carrie’s brother and Debbie’s son. According to him, he and Debbie were making plans for Carrie’s funeral earlier today (and hold on, pause to softly cry for a second), and Debbie was having a tough time with it. We can only imagine what kind of heartbreak and stress she must have been under, because no parent should ever lose a child, no matter what age.

At one point, Debbie happened to comment:

I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie.

Roughly 15 minutes after she said this to Todd, Debbie suffered what is suspected to be a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. Todd gave this same quote to Variety, explaining that “She wanted to be with Carrie.”

We can only imagine the heartbreak that Debbie must have been going through, and now our hearts are breaking into so many pieces. ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD is being sent to Todd, and Carrie’s daughter, Billie Lourd, right now.
