Colorful Christmas Trees Are Trending This Year and We Officially Want One

From House Beautiful

If you want a colorful (but still real!) Christmas tree, you're in luck. This year, some farms have started selling real pine trees that have been showered in colorful paint. That means you can still cut down your tree in the traditional way, then transform it into any shade of the rainbow you want - not just green.

At Jack Keilman Trees in Johnsontown, Pennsylvania, the farmers use a secret dying process to give trees a deep blue, purple, or red hue. Meanwhile, at Battaglia Christmas Tree Farm in San Martin, California, they provide a tree-tinting service with the color of your choice.Customers have requested just about every shade, including black and a red-and-gold mashup requested by a San Francisco 49ers fan.

According to the Jack Keilman team, their process requires temperatures to be 40 degrees or warmer for the dye to adhere to the tree - so this shouldn't be a last-minute purchase near the end of December. They also say the spray dye helps preserve the trees' needles so your tree should last through Christmas, New Year's, and beyond.

Can't pick just one color? You don't have to. We're especially impressed by this multicolored creation that represents every color of the rainbow.
