Cara Delevingne stunned on the MTV Movie Award’s blue carpet on Sunday night in a deep burgundy dress with lace appliqué curls and her hair in a slicked back ponytail, but the up-for-anything model made an even bigger splash when she singled out a young fan, Tiphanie Retana, from the crowd. Delevingne was shrugging off cameras and questions when she paused and started peering into the crowd. “You!” she cried as the press turned to see who was catching her eye. “That girl!” Retana wiggled out of the crowd and came to hug Delevingne, who said “It’s so nice to meet you babe, you’re so beautiful!” Retana ran back into the arms of her friends (“Can I cry now?” she said), revealing that she runs a fan Instagram account called @caradeltaco, one of several food-related homages to the famous model’s name.

During the show Delevingne presented a clip of the new film adaptation of John Green’s Paper Towns, in which she plays a revenge-seeking prankster. Prankster, for sure. Revenge-seeking, not so much. Delevingne is pretty much the friendliest girl in town.
