Bruschetta Nachos Are The Official Nacho Of The Summer

Let's face it, bruschetta is kind of impossible to eat. First of all, the bread soaks up all the marinade juices and gets soggy way too fast, causing all of your perfectly chopped toppings to tumble right off. It's also missing that addictive CRRRUNCH. You can just never seem to get the perfect bite.

We got all scientific trying to figure out the optimal way to consume this awesome Italian app. It's hard work, guys! Then, it came to us: nachos. It quickly became clear how perfectly Mexican translated to Italian.

Just like salsa, your base is chopped, fresh tomatoes (we used the Roma variety because duh). Then, all you have to do is make a few easy swaps. First, garlic for onion-2 cloves gives it a nice punch. Olive oil and tangy balsamic replace lime juice, and cilantro is benched for basil. And don't think we forgot about the cheese. We would never. Top it with a heap of grated Parmesan, then some kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Finally, the vessel. Garlic pita chips are the holy grail. Sturdy, flavorful, and absolutely crunch-tastic.
