The Britney Spears movie is coming really soon

Not since the Spice Girls brought out Spice World have we been so intrigued by a pop star movie. But a film about Britney Spears was always bound to pique our interest. And, while this one's a biopic with literally zero speedboat chases (I think), expect it to serve up some serious nostalgia when it comes out - wait for it - on February 18th.

According to Variety, Lifetime confirmed the date during a TCA panel, making Britney Ever After maybe the best belated Valentine's Day gift you'll ever have.

Here's the thing, though: Britney has stated that she isn't happy about the biopic, as her rep told EW she would not contribute "in any way, shape or form ... nor does it have her blessing".

The movie is said to track Britney's story from the Mickey Mouse Club to global fame, and it's likely to include the more difficult periods in her life, during which she shaved her head in front of the paparazzi, went to rehab, and married a childhood friend in Las Vegas.

Given Britney's disapproval of the Lifetime biopic, it's unlikely we'll hear any of her music - like (You Drive Me) Crazy and Oops!... I Did It Again - throughout. It's hard to imagine a Britney movie without any of her classic tracks, even if they squeeze in a Britney and Justin double denim throwback.

Oh, and speaking of that double denim moment, did you know that look is 16-years-old? Soz for making you feel ancient, but I nearly choked when that came up in my Facebook feed.
