Fans were shaken Wednesday night when someone rushed the stage towards Britney Spears during her Las Vegas Piece of Me show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. A man climbed onto the stage as Spears was finishing a song and began making his way towards the singer.

Luckily, her background dancers and security guards took the guy down before he got very far. Audience members captured video of the incident and Spears’ reaction when she learned what had happened. She can be heard asking a guard,

“Is everything okay? What’s going on?” She steps back, upset, and asks, “He has a gun?”

Spears was taken off stage while the man was still being detained. It’s not clear if he did, in fact, have a gun or if the guards were just taking maximum precaution.

According to KMBC News 9, the man was identified as Kansas City resident, Jesse Webb. Webb was taken off the stage in handcuffs and was later arrested for trespassing charges.

Once the situation was cleared up, Spears returned to the stage and went on with the show. She may have been startled, but Spears didn’t let one guy ruin her show for the rest of her fans.

Missed being on stage... ready for Vegas tonight! I'm sooooo excited to see you all!!! 🦋

Spears will be performing her Piece of Me show at Planet Hollywood from now until late December. Tickets are still available so snatch them up before they’re gone.

This event proves that yes — everyone does want a piece of Britney Spears. But even so, don’t bum-rush her on stage because you definitely won’t get a piece of Spears that way.
