We all love hearing the romantic love story of how the bride and groom met, but this bride decided that instead of telling her tale she would embroider it onto her wedding dress for all her guests to see — and read.

Bride and Koesch designer Krésha Bajaj Zaveri created her own stunning dress after getting engaged to partner Vanraj. Creating your very own wedding dress sounds like a daunting task, but luckily Krésha knew exactly what she wanted — it helps to be a fashion designer, of course. Her vision included a traditional Indian design with a white and gold color scheme.

“For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of designing my own wedding clothes,” she told Metro.

She decide to divide the traditional Indian skirt — called a lehenga — into seven panels. Each panel tells a different chapter in their love story. You can see the details, below, where she stitched leaping dolphins around the hem in a nod to working on a protest together against dolphin captivity.

The dress then goes on to show everything from the proposal in the Maldives and planning the wedding. It’s a gorgeous testament to the couple’s love.

Also, those shoes!

Krésha didn’t just design her dress, she designed and created outfits for her whole family. The process took about three months. She plans to frame the lehenga and display it in her home.
