“Big Bang Theory’s” Mayim Bialik wrote a book called “Girling Up,” and it sounds awesome
Mayim Bialik is one of the most impressive ladies on TV right now. Not only is she the star of the long-running comedy The Big Bang Theory and the classic teen sitcom Blossom, but she is also a brilliant scientist with a PhD in Neuroscience. Now, Mayim is combining her two skills into a new book that will help girls through the challenge of growing up.
Mayim Bialik is writing a book called Girling Up: How to Be Strong, Smart and Spectacular.

“I got to use my neuroscience background, my personal stories about growing up in the public eye but as a late bloomer, and it’s a really fun and interesting book about everything from puberty to dating to school to building a life you love.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the book will be a girl’s guide to growing up, and it is due out in March 2017 from Philomel Books. The book tackles growing from a girl into a woman, and it covers first kisses, periods, tough friendships, gender questions, body image topics, and how to figure out your place in the world.
We can’t think of anyone better to teach girls about growing up than the star of Blossom.
Mayim sounds super excited to share her wisdom with all of us, and we are excited to read it. Entertainment Weekly got a comment from Mayim on the upcoming book.
“As a scientist who is a public person, it is incredibly gratifying to be able to combine my scientific background with my public face in order to bring Girling Up to young female readers,” she said. “I hope that my experience, my perspective, and my knowledge base will provide insight into all of the amazing things there are about being female and inspiration to become a unique strong, smart and spectacular female!”
We can’t wait for what sounds like an awesome dose of girl power!
