WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 6, "Beyond the Wall."

Whether you support it or are grossed out by it, a romance between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow seems inevitable (even though she's his aunt). Last night's Game of Thrones appeared to confirm that in the final moments of the episode when the duo shared an intimate scene alone.

They were both recovering from jarring events: Dany had just lost a dragon to the Night King and Jon was nearly killed by wights. On their ship departing Eastwatch, Jon comforted Daenerys for her loss, held her hand, professed his fealty, called her a petname (Dany), oh, and he was shirtless.

This scene - and the previous one, where Dany first learns Jon is still alive when she sees him riding into Eastwatch - is "a big moment for her in terms of the way she feels about him,” showrunner D.B. Weiss explained in an "Inside the Episode" segment.

“I don’t think either one of them really knew exactly how powerful their feelings were towards each other until these moments. Just the notion of falling for someone, that involves weakness,” co-showrunner David Benioff added. “It’s not something a queen does, but she feels that happening and he feels it happening for her. I think both of them are kind of on unfamiliar ground and especially because it’s with an equal.”

“It’s kind of her, at that point, not to look at this guy, and realize this is not like the other boys,” Weiss added.

Twitter was definitely feeling the love (and ignoring the whole incest factor).

With only one episode left for the season, we wonder where Jon and Dany's potential relationship is headed next.
