“Bachelorette” contestant Luke Pell is writing an album about heartbreak on the show!
You go on the Bachelor or Bachelorette to find love, but if you don’t find love what do you do? You obviously go on Bachelor in Paradise, become the next Bachelor, or write music about your experiences, duh.
Okay, so maybe not everyone sings songs about losing the Bachelorette, but Luke Pell is writing an album and there is definitely a song about Jojo Fletcher on it!
Yes, all you Bachelor fans out there, Season 12’s third runner up of The Bachelorette (aka Jojo’s season), Pell — who was supposed to be the next Bachelor — is getting back to his musical roots and working on his debut album.
Like all good songwriters — or maybe just Taylor Swift — you have to write about your exes, and what better an ex to write about than Fletcher? Seriously, all this Bachelor news is getting us really excited for the next season, even if the Texas native, who now lives in Nashville, isn’t handing out roses.
Pell’s first album is set to be released in January 2017 and he’s not shy about the fact that his TV ex is part of its inspiration.
“A lot of artists write about past relationships and current ones. You write about the good and the bad and the ugly as a way to paint of picture of what happened,” Pell exclusively told UsWeekly.
“You’re a storyteller at the end of the day. So absolutely, there will be some of that about JoJo in my writing.”
While Pell doesn’t plan to come out and blast Fletcher, he revealed that people who’ve watched the show will pick up on the subtle messages within his music.

“People will pick up on it because they’ve seen what happened in reality, but I don’t say her name,” the Army vet explained. “They’ll be able to draw connections from what the music is saying. But I try not to go too cliché. I don’t have a rose song!”
Aw man, no rose song?
We’re not going to lie, Pell singing “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” would’ve been a great cover song to add to the album!
