Super-cute panda cub Bei Bei has just been introduced to the public at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C.

Born four months ago on Aug. 22, Bei Bei was shown off in an Instagram video this weekend, and for the first time was allowed to be viewed in the panda house, which has been closed to the public since his birth. Fans lined up outside the building, where his parents, Tian Tian and Mei Xiang, and 2-year-old sister, Bao Bao, can also be seen.

Bei Bei was born with a twin, but sadly that cub didn’t make it, passing away on Aug. 26. But the good news is that Bei Bei — who was given his name jointly by the first lady of the U.S. and the first lady of China (it means “precious treasure”) — is healthy and as adorable as you could possibly imagine.

You can watch him to your heart’s content on the zoo’s panda cam or follow his #PandaStory hashtag on Instagram. He’ll stay with the National Zoo until he’s 4 years old and will then be given to China.
