Cersei Lannister may be sitting high for now, but probably not for long. Though the Game of Thrones showrunners haven't confirmed whether the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms dies at all in the final two seasons, a new fan theory on Reddit suggests she could get killed by one of her younger brothers, Jaime or Tyrion.

Let's bring it back to the famed prophesy Cersei received from Maggy the Frog. When she asked the fortuneteller whether she would have children, Maggy responded:

"Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

The first part came true. Her three children-Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen-were born into royalty but all died before her. The second half of the statement is where it gets interesting. "Valonquar" in Valyrian means "the little brother." Therefore, it's possible that Jaime or Tyrion Lannister will kill Cersei. (Jaime and Cersei are twins, but he was born after. Plus, remember the way he looked at her in the Season 6 finale? He is not happy.)

However, a looser reading of the prophesy makes room for another possible suspect: Jon Snow.

The "valonquar" can refer to any little brother, not just Cersei's, and the fact that the word is in Valyrian suggests the killer has Valyrian blood. Targaryens are said to have Valyrian blood, and we recently discovered that Jon Snow is in fact a Targaryen, not a Stark. He's also the younger brother of Rhaenys and Aegon.

A third interpretation of the prophesy suggests Cersei's death could be caused by the Clegane brothers, The Mountain and The Hound.

"I'm convinced that there will be a trial by combat to determine if Cersei will be put to death," one Reddit user speculated. The battle would be between the Cleganes, with Ser Gregor (The Mountain, Cersei's zombie-like guard) representing the Queen and The Hound, his little brother, stepping in for the opposing side. If The Hound wins, that would sentence Cersei to death, and the prophesy will still hold true.

The theories are all believable, but for now, let's enjoy Cersei's scheming while we still have her around. Game of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16.
