Anne Hathaway’s Givenchy Bag Apparently Doubles as a Chic Hat

So many fashion items are versatile. Bras can be worn as shirts, scarves have the potential to be tied into shirts, a long skirt can also be a strapless dress, and more. But Anne Hathaway might have taken this adaptability one step too far.
On Instagram Wednesday, the actress shared a selfie with a purse on her head. She captioned the image with a letter: “Dear @givenchyofficial, Your stunning reinterpretation of “the hat” is both revolutionary and awe inspiring. And so roomy! I shall wear mine with pride. Yours in trend-settingness, Annie.”
Hathaway did earn her fashion stripes under the tutelage of an Anna Wintour impersonator, and has since become friends with Valentino Garavani (she recently vacationed with the designer), but the potential for the hat-as-bag trend to take off seems equivalent to a plus size’s chance in Vogue.
