Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro became fast friends on the set of The Intern, their new movie in which the actress plays a CEO at a startup and De Niro is her senior intern. They bonded over The Bachelor, flip phones, and, of course, the art of acting. “He’s, like, sweet and powerful, and it cracks me up,” she shared of spending time with her male role model.

The pair got so close on set that they walked the red carpet together hand-in-hand, posing for pictures at the film’s premiere in New York on Monday night. But being pals doesn’t necessarily translate to a shared fashion sense or even following the same dress code.

Hathaway arrived at the premiere in a Rodarte dress from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection, which was inspired by Black Swan and ice skating outfits. The one-shoulder gown featured a single sparkly and sheer long sleeve and the same material covering her chest. Cascading down from the bodice was an asymmetrical skirt covered in silver leopard spots and a black and blue feather trim on the twisted fishtail hemline.

While Hathaway, with her hair styled wavy with an exaggerated side part, was dressed for a black tie gala, De Niro wore his country club best. The prolific actor paired gray slacks with a striped collared shirt and a navy blue blazer. He even covered his silver fox locks with a newsboy cap, looking ready to hit the links.

Yet regardless of the fact that the co-stars dressed for different occasions, the Oscar winners were still both style winners.
