Alicia Vikander Is the New Lara Croft in the "Tomb Raider" Reboot

From Harper's BAZAAR

After months of speculation, the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has finally found its Lara Croft, and it isn't Daisy Ridley. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alicia Vikander, who won an Academy Award for her supporting role in The Danish Girl, has signed on to play the iconic role. She'll be carrying on in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie, who starred in a franchise based on the best-selling 1996 video game.

Norwegian filmmaker Roar Uthaug (The Wave) has signed on to direct the film, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Transformers 5) is set be its screenwriter.
