Oh, snap. We can’t believe our eyeballs but somehow the list of actresses in the running to play Batgirl is floating around the web, and you better believe we’ve already looked it over and had an instant fangirl meltdown over the prospects.

Earlier this spring, Twitter sleuths thought they’d pegged Lindsay Morgan as Batgirl‘s lead actress, but according to Paste magazine, a list that cropped up on Reddit indicates otherwise.

As the mag reports, Reddit user DCEUThrowaway89 claims that Warner Brothers would like to announce its highly anticipated Batgirl star at this year’s Comic-Con, which takes place later this month.

“A friend of mine was recently contacted by WB to work on concept art for the upcoming Batgirl film,” DCEUThrowaway89 writes. “WB wants to get an actress signed by SDCC so they can make a surprise announcement on stage during their presentation. I spoke with him a couple days ago and he said that these are the actresses he was asked to develop concept art for.

Previously, the film’s director Joss Whedon suggested the actress he casts as Barbara Gordon would not be a big name star, but this list definitely features a few familiar faces.

Needless to say, we’re totally geeked. *Assuming this is true, but whatever, it’s fun to think about.

Elle Fanning

Olivia Cooke

Katherine Langford

Jane Levy

Margaret Qualley

Haley Lu Richardson

Emma Roberts

Naomi Scott

Bella Thorne

Obviously, all of these actresses have the chops have the chops to do the role justice, but the studio is allegedly eyeing Langford first, followed by Fanney, Levy and Qualley.

A little disappointed not to see any women of color, but like we said, this is only speculative information from Reddit.

Batgirl doesn’t hit theaters until 2019, which feels so incredibly far off. All of this speculation is a bit unnerving, so let’s hope Warner Brothers puts us out of our misery later this month with an official cast announcement.
