2 'Nashville' Cast Members Will Not Be Returning for the Show's CMT Revival

From Country Living

We couldn't be more excited that Nashville is officially returning to the small screen thanks to CMT, after being cancelled by ABC in May-but it looks like two of the show's regular cast members won't be along for the ride.

According to TVLine, it's time to say so long to Luke and Layla-actors Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples will not be apart of the show's fifth season when it debuts on CMT. Although CMT head of development Jayson Dinsmore recently told reporters that he hoped the entire cast would return for the country drama's second incarnation, it now appears that that won't be the case-though Deadline says that Aubrey and Will could possibly return as guest stars depending on their schedules.

But don't lose hope! Connie Britton, who plays Rayna James, has already confirmed she'll be returning, and several of the show's other stars, including Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, and Charles Esten, have shared their excitement about the CMT news on social media. Hayden Panettiere, who announced in May she would seek treatment for postpartum depression, has yet to comment.
