Short-handed Portland Timbers shut out at Charlotte

The Portland Timbers' winless streak extended to eight games Saturday as Charlotte FC shut out the Timbers for a 2-0 victory. Nikola Petkovic fired home a shot from the middle of the box in the 54th minute, much to the delight of a crowd of 27,495 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Then Enzo Copetti iced it on a breakaway in second half stoppage time.
