Will Hiring Hot Models Convince Women That Tinder Isn’t Scummy?

Dating app Tinder wants you to know that it has its users’ best interests at heart. Really and truly.

It’s introducing a new feature called “Super Like,” which is basically a souped-up right swipe. Users will receive a limited number of up-swipes, which will then notify their potential matches that they like them more than the average person. This will hopefully curb creeps who don’t quite get the hint that you aren’t interested. (Though, as per Tinder’s format, said “creeps” can only contact you directly once you’ve swiped right on them, too. Eh, we all make mistakes.)

To spread the Super Like gospel, Tinder made a promotional video starring my favorite former Victoria’s Secret Angel Erin Heatherton and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model Nina Agdal—who have definitely never had to go on Tinder, themselves, seeing as their exes are Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Levine, respectively.

Which may explain why Heatherton is so fond of the app, which has a reputation for fostering far more hookups than actual relationships. “What I like most about Tinder is that it has given women the power to decide who has the ability to communicate with them,” she said in a statement. “Super Like enhances these powers by allowing them to invite the people they want to engage with.“

In the minute-long clip, Agdal plays a student being harassed by pervy men while she’s doing homework, and Heatherton is a diner waitress/superhero with a glowing birthmark.

We won’t spoil the surprise ending, except to say that it has nothing to do with Agdal acing her exams. Who needs smarts when you can snag a Tinder date?!
