Who Knew That Ozzy Osbourne Is the Cutest Grandpa Ever?

Turns out that self-described “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne is also the king of cute when it comes to his granddaughter, Pearl. In a photo his son Jack Osborne shared Sunday, the Black Sabbath rocker looked every bit the doting granddad to Jack’s 2-year-old (who is Ozzy’s fifth grandchild). “Arts and crafts time with Papa,” Jack wrote along with the Instagram shot of his daughter with grandpa.

The little lady brings out the best in him, the father of six, 66, has freely admitted. “Pearl is such a great experience to have,” Ozzy told 97.1 The River in an October radio interview. “I have other grandchildren, but when I had my own kids I was touring or in rehab. It’s a lot better environment now. I can be of service to my family.”

The metal star’s transformation to all-around softie is a welcome, if odd, change for his daughter, Kelly Osbourne. “People have gone from telling me my father is a Satanist to, ‘Your dad’s really cool,’” the reality star is quoted as saying in GQ UK. “It’s weird spending your whole life defending somebody who suddenly one day becomes everyone’s idol.”

And it certainly looks like toddler Pearl idolizes her grandfather. She even dressed up in tribute to him before Halloween in 2013.

The two, it seems, just enjoy cracking each other up. “I live in the moment if I can,” Ozzy told Esquire last year. “Because I’m getting a bit older every day now…so if you can, laugh when you don’t really think you want to laugh. Just look at yourself and say, “Am I lucky or am I not?”
