Joining the military is a brave choice that involves endless sacrifice, not the least of which is leaving your family. For parents, missing time with kids — even when the choice to enlist was intended to create a better life for them — is a constant struggle. Here, moms and dads in the military admit their biggest fears, from missing the important moments to having resentful kids.
