News flash: A bra does not have to be a prison for your boobs.
It might seem far-fetched, but there are such things as comfortable, supportive bras. And no, they’re not found at Victoria’s Secret. You can actually buy them on Amazon for a surprisingly cheap price.
Unfortunately, when bra shopping, women usually have to choose between a few things: a good fit, a pretty design, effective support or a push-up feature. Even if there’s a bra that has everything shoppers want, it’s usually for a specific-sized chest and doesn’t work for others.
But, like the best-selling Amazon coat, leggings and tummy control swimsuit, shoppers have found what they claim to be a Holy Grail apparel item: Warner’s This Is Not A Bra full-coverage underwire bra. And the reviews are extremely convincing.
Out of nearly 3,000 reviews, this bra has a score of 4.4 stars out of 5.
First off, the bra is from a collection called “This is Not a Bra,” a good sign if you’re sick of things that are, in fact, bras.
The name comes from Warner’s devotion to fit and comfort. Unlike other brands, this bra is designed to prevent digging or poking — a rarity for wired bras.
“Holy cow this is the best gosh darn bra I've ever bought,” an enthusiastic reviewer exclaimed. “I [wear] a 38 B, and that's exactly what I got, rather than the usual 36 band size with a C cup attached. It fits perfectly and it's put together very well without any itching, scratching or poking. Last week I easily tried on over 30 bras between a big box retailer and a specialty mall store. Nothing I found was awesome so I pulled the pin on this one and I will be buying one in every color.”
What’s more, the design is made for a smooth, barely-there look. Perfect to fit under tees, dresses and basically everything you wear. Because honestly, who wants their bra lines seen?
If you have a large bust, you’re likely well aware of spillover: the top part of your breasts sticking out of a bra that more than likely doesn’t fit. The Warner’s bra cups are designed for full coverage to prevent this uncomfortable effect. Satin is also wrapped around the underwire to provide all-day comfort without poking or prodding.
“I ordered this on a whim because it was a great price and I needed a new bra,” one reviewer wrote. “I ordered my normal VS size and prayed for the best. It is seriously one of the most comfortable bras I have bought. I never order bras online because you never know how they fit — this bra fit exactly perfect based on my normal size. There is no weird pooching out or spilling over on this bra — it honestly may be my new favorite ever. The extra padding on the underwire was a little strange at first because it makes the bottom edge a little thicker, but it really makes you not realize you are wearing an underwire. I plan to buy more in other colors.”
If you’re small-chested, this bra has the perfect fit for you, too. Reviewers say there’s no gaping, as the bra has a tight-but-not-too-tight fit.
“I absolutely love these bras. Very comfortable to wear and make the girls look great,” wrote a reviewer. “I'm small-chested (36B) and this bra is one of the only ones I'll wear. I love that is has padding, but not too much, just enough to make me feel a little more confident. The underwire is lined in foam as well so it's comfortable to wear, even at the end of the day. This bra looks great under tees or sweater; it's smooth and shows no lumps or bulges. They also run true to size and don't ride up in the back (if you order the correct size). I think they're such a great value for a really quality bra.”
And those other pesky issues experienced while wearing a bra? They’re seemingly gone.
A reviewer wrote: “Size 38DD and I have tried many many more expensive bras and have not found any as comfortable as these. The cups are oh so soft and the extra lining on the underwire is great. The fit is good especially to not have the weird under arm boobs that are created when the band is too narrow, and the front adjusting straps mean I don't have to pull straps up every few hours or have the opposite problem of them pinching into my shoulders. I buy new ‘everyday’ bras each year and keep coming back for these.”
By the way, this bra is half off in some styles, so it’s time to do yourself a favor and get shopping.
