Man's attempt to make pasta hailed as 'worst thing' food critics have seen: 'Aghast whilst in awe'
One man’s attempt at cooking a meal has been hailed as the “worst thing” many foodies have seen.
The Facebook user, who goes by the name Steven S, shared a photo of the monstrosity to the “Rate My Plate” group, where amateur food critics judge dishes based on their appearance.
Photos typically fall in the range of very good to very bad, with not much in-between. This one lands squarely in “very bad” territory.
Before you scroll any further, I’m sad to say that the photo you are about to see is supposed to be an edible pasta dish, designed for consumption by human beings.
Please brace yourself accordingly.
This particular meal is supposed to be carbonara, a pasta dish which is usually made of noodles, pancetta, egg yolks, heavy cream, garlic and pepper.
Steven’s interpretation, however, seems to be canned spaghetti, hot dog and a slice of American cheese.
Commenters responded accordingly.
“Now that, my friend, is one of the worst things I have seen on this page,” one Facebook user wrote.
“I’m aghast whilst in awe. This is truly horrible,” another said.
“Italians everywhere are weeping over this monstrosity,” a third wrote.
We hope the harsh criticism inspires Steven to work a bit harder on his culinary skills — at least before trying to cook for someone else.
