Three Months After Scary Bike Accident, Amy Grant Finally Returns To Performing

The songstress made her triumphant return to the stage after sustaining a significant head injury over the summer.

It’s been a long road, but three months after she was injured in a bicycle accident, Amy Grant is finally back to performing.
The Christian singer made her triumphant return to the stage this weekend, kicking off her Christmas tour with Michael W. Smith in Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday.
“After a season of healing at home, it was good to be back on stage with Michael W. Smith, Michael Tait, and my musical family,” Grant wrote on Instagram. “Thank YOU for your many prayers over the last few months and as my healing continues. I hope to see some of your familiar faces in the audience over the next few weeks. Xo.”
On July 27, Grant was thrown from her bike after hitting a pothole in Nashville. According to her publicist, Velvet Kelm, the "Baby, Baby" singer hit her head so hard that she was knocked unconscious for roughly 10 to 15 minutes. Grant postponed her fall concert tour in order to concentrate on her recovery and appeared at the CMT Giants tribute to her husband Vince Gill in September via a taped message.
"On the advice of my doctors and other friends who have been through similar experiences of recovery, I am choosing to give myself the gift of a very simple fall season," she told fans in an August Instagram post.
Grant’s Christmas tour with Smith runs through December 9, after which she begins a 12-show residency at the Ryman Auditorium with Gill.
