Around this time last year, the Oregon-based cheese brand Tillamook made headlines by selling its "Mother Loaf" cheddar cheese blocks to the public for the first time. These 40-pound cubes of cheddar used for aging are typically broken down into smaller products, but in honor of National Cheddar Day, the creamery put 25 of the unadulterated loaves up for sale at $112 a pop — and they sold out in 20 minutes.

This year, National Cheddar Day (which, full disclosure, Tillamook created themselves) falls on the same day as the Super Bowl: February 13. And so the brand has decided to go all out. Not only are they bringing back the Mother Loaf, now at $150 each (thanks, inflation!), but also launching new cheesy gear, including cheese-carrying Tillamook Party Pants.

Headlining this collection of self-proclaimed "bold, fashion-forward, limited-run swag" created by the Portland Garment Factory are the $35 "one-of-a-kind" Party Pants which "come complete with removable, insulated pockets that double as a cheddar-toting clutch or wristlet." The cheddar-orange drawstring cargo pants — that actually look like they'd be good to work out in if they weren't specifically designed for holding cheese — appear to provide plenty of comfort as well as three cheddar-ready pockets along the left leg.

Among the four other available items, personally, I find the Snacky Koozy to be the most inspired: with its own built-in side pocket, this $5 koozie will keep both your beer and your hunk of cheese well insulated. Sure, it may not as fashionable as the pants, but it feels a bit more practical.

The rest of the collection includes a $25 Thick Cut Crewneck "with fringe inspired by our Farmstyle Thick Cut Shreds," a $15 Slices Bag which is "inspired by and built to fit our Farmstyle Thick Cut Slices," a shred-fringed cowboy hat, and Luck Cheddar Playing Cards which are "inspired by our Baby Loaf two-pound cheddar block."

"This year, our farmer-owned co-operative celebrates 113 years on February 13, so we thought the best way to celebrate with our fans would be to bring back the Mother Loaf again — and then some," Joe Prewett, executive vice president of brand and category growth at the Tillamook County Creamery Association, stated. "We've added a bold music video, cheesy swag, and fun fan giveaways to help Cheddar-lovers everywhere upgrade any food moment, whether to dress up your table or yourself."

If you're interested in purchasing a 40-pound block of cheddar, cheese-holding pants, or anything else in this year's Cheddar Collection, all the items go on sale at 11 a.m. ET on February 1 only at shop.tillamook.com. If last year was any indication, the Mother Loaves will likely sell out as, once again, only 25 will be sold.
