NORWALK -- Remembering a friend.

Oct. 4—NORWALK — Remembering a friend.

People gathered Sunday afternoon at Contractors Stadium for a group picture to appear on a billboard.

Alli Jo died in a May 21, 2021 automobile accident at the age of 15. She was a student at Norwalk High School and EHOVE Career Center in Avery.

The crash occurred on Mason Road between Ohio 13 and Old Mason Road when a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Nicholas M. Barylski failed to negotiate a curve and struck the car driven by Stanley.

Barylski, of Huron, was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. It was later ruled he had extremely high levels of alcohol in his blood.

A message from the parents of Alli Jo Kurdinat

We are working to bring awareness to the importance of driving sober in honor of Alli Jo Kurdinat. We are inviting every person who has been affected by the loss of Alli to come to the football field on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. for a photo that will be used on billboards in the coming year. The billboards will have the group photo and a picture of Alli, and the message will be how many lives are affected by the decision of one person. We are asking people to wear something according to the role that you played in Alli Jo's life. Please wear what is appropriate based on the list below. We would love to see all of you at the football field this weekend!
