The jolliest time of the year is here, which means catchy Christmas songs are playing non-stop in grocery stores and on car radios. We all have our favorite tunes, but how does your favorite Christmas carol compare to the most popular song in your state? Verizon did some research to see which holiday jingles were searched most in each state, and the results might surprise you.
The company compiled the 23 most popular Christmas songs from Spotify and iHeartMedia. Then, they compared the amount of Google searches for each song done in each state.
"Jingle Bells" lost its number one spot to "All I Want For Christmas Is You (SuperFestive!)" by Mariah Carey. This is no surprise since Carey's festive tune made it the top five songs on Billboard's Hot 100 in 2019.
