Jensen Ackles Says Working with Jessica Alba on 'Dark Angel' Was "Horrible"

Jensen Ackles is opening up about his time on Dark Angel, and he has a lot of thoughts, apparently. Speaking on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum," via Us Weekly, Jensen said it was "horrible" to work with Jessica Alba when he joined the show's second season.

“I was the new kid on the block, and I was picked on by the lead,” he said, adding that their vibe on set was “the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do.”

“It wasn’t that she didn’t like me. She just was like, ‘Oh, here’s the pretty boy that network brought in for some more window dressing because that’s what we all need.'” Jensen added that he chose to “fight fire with fire” and eventually he and Jessica started getting along.

“I love Jess, which I know kind of contradicts what I just said,” he explained. “She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show. She was young, she was in a relationship and that was … causing some undue stress, I believe.”

Jessica has opened up about her own experience on the show, telling Marie Claire several years ago that “I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable." She also noted that "everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected.”
