Class B baseball: Busy day Saturday in Carrington, New Rockford

Apr. 27—Class B baseball descended on the cities of Carrington and New Rockford on Saturday.

Carrington won a pair of games, defeating Larimore 4-3 in five innings, before needing eight innings to slip past South Border, 5-4.

Carrington is scheduled to host Kidder County/Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter in Region 3 play on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Cardinals improve to 5-1 overall and are 3-0 in the conference.

Kidder County/Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter baseball defeated Park River/Fordville-Lankin 9-4 on Saturday in New Rockford, before falling 11-1 to Langdon later in the afternoon. The Wolves stand at 2-3 overall and are scheduled to travel to LaMoure today (April 26) to face LaMoure/Litchville-Marion in Region 3 play. The Loboes are also unbeaten in the conference at 3-0.

Earlier in the day Saturday, South Border scored five runs over the final two innings to erase deficits of 3-0 and 4-3 against the Sheyenne-New Rockford Black Sox. The Mustangs won 5-4, improving to 1-4, and are slated to play a JV game Thursday at Medina/Pingree-Buchanan in Medina at 4 p.m.
