Chrissy Teigen is staying on top of music’s biggest night from the comfort of her home—and winning with a hilarious and real caption.
The supermodel took to Instagram to reveal that she skipped out on the 2023 Grammys, but she had a very good reason—she gave birth to her third child, a daughter named Esti Maxine Stephens, with John Legend on January 13.
In the candid Instagram post, Teigen appeared makeup-free and content as she snuggled up on the couch and held her sweet sleeping babe on her bare chest.
“happy grammy day!!” she began, giving fans a glimpse of her current situation and revealing that she actually planned to attend the ceremony.
She continued, noting she “had a dress fitting, looked around and realized ….what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol”
Fans praised the TV personality for putting her family first, with Bethenny Frankel commenting, “Not today.”

The newest family member joins big sister Luna, 6, and brother Miles, 4. The family lost a son, Jack, in 2020 to a partial placental abruption, making the new addition a rainbow baby, or a baby born after suffering pregnancy loss.
