Byredo Creates a "Scent Machine" With Speaker Brand, OJAS

Byredo is bringing a new olfactory experience for its fans with a new collaboration featuring OJAS, a New York-based speaker brand led by Devon Turnbull. Together, the duo has created the "Olfactive Stéréophonique," described as a "scent machine" that brings the senses of sound and smell together.

The diffuser applies speaker design theory to scent, using an acoustic horn to distribute smell efficiently. Dubbed the "BYOJ-01 Biradial Controlled Directivity Scent Dispersion Device," the gadget features a red speaker structure, attached to a gray-colored base featuring both Byredo and OJAS' logos.

In addition to the machine, the collaborators have formulated a scent inspired by incense used in Hindu and Buddhist temples, bringing the aroma of wooden structures to a soothing fragrance. It comes with a base of papyrus, Haiti vetiver and guaiac wood, with notes of ylang-ylang, carnation, labdanum, clove buds, bay and incense.

Take a closer look at the device above. Priced at €950 EUR (approximately $1,078 USD), the Olfactive Stéréophonique is now available on Byredo's website and flagships worldwide.
